Who we are

Tara Voyages is a travel agency created in Leh and owned by a native of Ladakh (northern India). Professional experience of tourism and multidimensional knowledge of India and its main regions, personal involvement in local development and taste of transmission. As a native of Ladakh, Dadul knows the communities well and is recognized there. His knowledge of the Western Himalayan high mountains and his frequentation of the sacred, sacred places and Indian spiritualities (he studied in a Buddhist school) are for him great assets.

He divides his time between France and India, knowing the expectations of Western customers. Tara Voyages is the result of its long experience in the field of tourism, and especially adventure tourism. Tara Voyages is equipped for both cultural and adventure tours, with a local office in Leh, one in Delhi and a liaison office in France.

The tours are offered depending on the need and desire of each, a “custom” that we build together over the exchange.

Our philosophy

The values we defend

An ecological and humane approach to resources

We design travel projects with a fair price by including fair wages for the actors involved. We also seek to minimize the environmental cost of our trips. For this we create forms of short circuits and economical on the move. We also privilege immersive travel in a region, with homestay accommodation.

Solidarity and commitment

By adhering to the values defended by our partners. We are one of the few organizations that has signed the charter of “ACT FOR RESPONSIBLE TOURISM”. This label is controlled by ECOCERT.

In general, we support the inhabitants of certain regions sometimes very far from the tourist circuits, which will regularly welcome tourists to their homes. They are craftsmen but also guides. They accompany us in a travel context or lend us a hand in the context of an expatriation.

In the presentation of each of our circuits, a note specifies the financial and human part which will constitute the contribution of our travelers.

Transcendence

Indian culture and social life in India are far from ours. The points of reference and the points of support in each of the cultures are so distant that it is necessary to produce a real effort to understand what is at stake in everyone. Whether on the ground of everyday life, nature, the professional world, spirituality or human relationships in general. The intercultural work between these two places of the world engages, more than other destinations, a work of overcoming its habits.
